Creatures from the Insect World have kidnapped a princess. Zippy Bug climbs tall trees to find and rescue the princess. The gameplay takes the form of vertical climbing up the tree. In each stage the player shoots bug-like enemies, collecting fruits for points and avoiding the deadly skulls. At the end of each stage, the player must destroy a spider-like demon in a web to proceed. Bonus points are awarded for the remaining time to finish the stage and the types of fruit collected.
