The Madden series makes its way onto the 3DO. This NFL-licensed football game now sports digitized player animations and 3D rendered stadiums. The game features 38 teams which include the 28 1993 NFL teams, eight all-time great teams since 1972, and the All-Madden & Madden Greats teams. Modes include preseason, regular season, playoffs, and all-time playoffs.
The game also features over 100 video clips of memorable NFL team moments which can be viewed while examining a teams scouting report. Short video clips also appear during a game, such as when a referee makes a call or when a team scores a touchdown.
Options include choosing the quarter length (5, 10, or 15 minutes), whether to play on grass, turf, or in a domed stadium, and whether the weather is fair, windy, rainy, snowy, or has variability.
