Wave Runner GP is a Sega NAOMI arcade game and a sequel to Wave Runner released in Japan and the US in 2001. The game was built on the Sega Model 2 arcade hardware. The game is based on the water craft of the same name by Yamaha, which Sega consulted with when making the game and sequel. Wave Runner was designed in a cabinet that resembled an actual Wave Runner model where one player controls the watercraft by leaning in the direction of the turn or using the handlebars. Up to four cabinets can be linked together for multiplayer racing.
