Rootin' Tootin' is a maze game similar to Namco's Pac-Man. The player controls a tuba, who must collect all musical notes in a staves maze. Whenever the player collects a note, the tuba creates small soundwaves which knocks out any enemy in close proximity. Enemies include various kinds of musical instruments, some of which have their own unique forms of attacking or disrupting the player. Besides musical notes, the player can also collect special bonuses which appear sporadically in the maze.
