Rage is a computer game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks for Windows , macOS , Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 . The first-person shooter was released in the US on October 4, 2011 and in Europe on October 7, 2011. A mobile game for iOS was previously released on November 18, 2010.
The game mainly consists of parts where the player has to shoot enemies. There are also parts that require driving. The player is in possession of a crossbow and boomerang-like weapons and can race in various vehicles. The game also contains small role-playing elements, such as an inventory, a looting system and different types of ammunition. In addition to the main mission, there are several side missions that the player can complete.
