Samurai Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends is an expansion and standalone version of the hack-and-slash game, set in Japan's Sengoku period, adding new characters, story modes, stages, and a Mercenary Mode, and it can be played with or without the original Samurai Warriors 2. It features six new warriors, new scenarios, and expanded gameplay, including two-player co-op and new difficulty levels, and was released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.
