The Croods: Prehistoric Party features 30 party-style minigames with players being able to chose from the 7 members of The Croods family. The players compete in a board game format using a dice to roll and move those amount of spaces. There are two ways to play the board; race to the finish or collecting the most shells. Winning minigames earns the winning player more shells.
Instead of a standard menu, the player navigates a hub in sort of platformer controls. The game locks up the other boards behind players the first boards with a total of 5 boards when they are unlocked.
