Vintage Velocity Ace is a special version of the original Vintage Velocity mod that replaces the original mod’s unlockable Rook Series with the Ace Series from BS F-Zero 2 Practice. Ace Series is unlocked from the time you boot up the game, and the 5 courses included are:
1. Mute City IV
2. Big Blue II
3. Sand Storm I
4. Silence II
5. Sand Storm II
The Grand Prix 1 version of Big Blue II is included as the Championship course.
For many of us F-Zero fans, the 15 original SNES courses plus the 5 Ace League courses are the definitive F-Zero experience. These are the courses we have been playing for the past 20 years. Play through these familiar courses with a very different feel. You can play solo, or link up to 4 other people running the same rom to race with up to 4 players.
The data for the courses is pulled from GP Legend and Climax’s Platinum Cups, whenever possible. Some modifications were made to courses to account for Maximum Velocity’s differing physics engine. The 10 courses that were not present in GP Legend or Climax have been remade within the GBA format. All vehicles and series are unlocked by default.
