Pokemon Weird Type Fun is a simple rom hack with an even simpler idea: make even series veterans confused about type matchups. With 18 entirely new types and a completely reimagined pokedex to match, Pokemon Weird Type Fun makes the ever-present Kanto feel a little less familiar.
While Pokemon Weird Type Fun adheres to the core FireRed story and structure, some characters and lore have been rearranged to keep things interesting. Event-only areas (also known as Navel Rock and Birth Island) are now accessible through gameplay, and a few new locations and small events have been added.
