Pikmin is a 2001 GameCube real-time strategy puzzle video game developed by Nintendo EAD and released by Nintendo.

The tiny Extra-Terrestrial Captain Olimar is on vacation when his ship is hit by a comet. The S.S. Dolphin makes a forced landing on a planet, shedding parts as he goes (presumed to be Earth). Here he encounters the Pikmin. The Pikmin are on the verge of extinction and Olimar has 30 days to retrieve all the parts of his ship leading the Pikmin in a dash for survival.
