Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is the first of two ports for Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Edition is a port of the “Legacy Console Edition” developed on the Xbox 360 by 4J Studios. It was later delisted from the eShop, and replaced by Mojang’s internally developed build, simply titled “Minecraft”. Mojang’s version of the game, running on their own Bedrock Engine rather than 4J’s Legacy Console engine. The most notable of the many changes is the introduction of crossplay between other devices, such as Xbox and PlayStation consoles and mobile devices.
