Jade Empire is an action role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Microsoft Game Studios, originally released worldwide for the Xbox. A Microsoft Windows version, developed by LTI Gray Matter and published by 2K Games, was released in North America on February 26, 2007, as a Special Edition. Jade Empire was released as an Xbox Original on Microsoft's Xbox 360 on July 21, 2008. The Special Edition became available for Mac OS X on August 18, 2008.
The game follows an orphan who grew up under strict care of Master Li, a master who runs a school for martial and spiritual arts training. After a major event happens to the school, the main character begins on his or her travels to save Master Li. Followers met along the way accompany the main character to not only help save Master Li, but to also pursue on their own endeavors.
Jade Empire received very positive reviews upon its release both on its Xbox and PC editions.
