Pro Mahjong Kiwame is a four player Riichi mahjong game, unlike most one-on-one Mahjong games released at the time and the modern casual games. Players take and discard tiles until they've completed hands by forming groups and pairs. The game features up to 16 professional mahjong players and 3 game modes to play: Professional section, Gamble section and Training section. There is no story mode and the difficulty of the game is very high. Pro Mahjong Kiwame's modelling of a serious mahjong game and lack of erotic elements has been acknowledged by Japan's Mahjong Federation, which recommends playing these games.
