Running parallel to Shovel of Hope, Plague Knight plots his own scheme, planning to steal essence from Shovel Knight and the other Order members to use as ingredients in the ultimate potion, capable of granting any one desire of its user. He is aided by several other characters from Shovel Knight’s campaign, such as Mona, the witch, who pursues alchemy in secret due to the rest of the world fearing and rejecting it.
