A video game named Shakugan no Shana for the PlayStation 2, developed by MediaWorks, was released on March 23, 2006. The game was later released as a “Best” version on February 7, 2008. An A4-sized book named Homura (焔, Flame?) spanning thirty-six pages that included illustrations by Noizi Itō was included in preorders of the game. The player takes on the character of Yūji Sakai in the game. The opening theme song of the game is -EXIST- by Rie Kugimiya, which was released in Shakugan no Shana Assorted Shana Vol. I.
