In Hanasaku Manimani, young high school student Nao visits a shrine at the summer festival. She gets thrust from modern-day Japan to Edo Era Japan. Not knowing how to get back to the present time, Nao finds herself stranded in the past. Ultimately, she finds refuge in the brothel called Manju-ya.
