Kunio-kun: The World Classics Collection is an upcoming compilation that will include all of the Famicom games in the Kunio-kun series (previously included in Kunio-kun Nekketsu Complete: Famicom Hen on the Nintendo 3DS) along with the localized versions of Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun, Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu, Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari and Bikkuri Nekketsu Shin Kiroku! Harukanaru Kin Medal (Renegade, Super Dodge Ball, River City Ransom and Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge respectively). Nintendo World Cup, the western version of Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu: Soccer Hen is not included in this compilation since that version was localized and published by Nintendo.
Early copies of the game will include a separate game, Hanazono Kōkō Dodgeball Bu, in which players get to play the Campaign and Club Activity modes with Riki's school and team. Additionally, the North American NES versions of Double Dragon, Double Dragon II: The Revenge and Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones will be part of the collection.
The World Classics Collection contains 18 titles for the 8-bit era: 11 from Japan and 7 US releases.
