Martian Attack is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player is in command of the only defenses on the Red Planet. The screen display represents the view through the sights in the cramped confines of a solitary laser post. The player must sweep the skies above the city to protect it against the invading Zargons.

Enemy ships come from the left, and the player must shoot them down before they can bombard the city. If a Zargon is missed, it re-approaches from the right while the next ship approaches from the left. A single hit, and the city is reduced to rubble.

The player can erect a short-lived force field to protect the city, but the energy is rapidly depleted and only recharges slowly. If the city is destroyed three times, it's game over
