This is a straightforward modification that makes the game’s combat system significantly better. You start off with just one Eevee, and it’s also the only Pokemon you have access to at this point. Remember to pick up some additional Pokemon at the Pokemon Center.
There is no narrative; all that is required of you is to compete in the arena and do your best to win as much as possible. When you win, your rank points increase, and when you lose, your rank points decrease. In addition, your rank determines how difficult the game is for you to play. You are only allowed to use three different Pokemon in battles over Wi-Fi, each of which must have a different held item. This rule was implemented a while ago. Simply open the TM/HM menu to begin learning moves. You are free to use any of the 250 moves at any time.
