In Fire, you control two rescuers with a stretcher, tasked with catching people jumping from a burning building and safely carrying them to the ambulance. The gameplay is simple but tense – with every rescued victim the speed increases, and mistakes come at a high cost.
The original version was released as part of Nintendo’s Game & Watch series and quickly became one of the most recognizable handheld games of the 1980s.
This version has been specially adapted for the ORIC while preserving the spirit of the original:
– Graphics: clean pixel style with the characteristic ORIC palette.
– Gameplay: the same escalating pace and challenge as in the Game & Watch version.
– Sound: minimalist effects, true to the 8-bit era.
